Tatts was advised today that its bid for the Victorian Public Lottery Licence was successful.
This win will see the Group continue to hold the exclusive right to conduct authorised public lotteries in Victoria for a further 10-year term.
This licence includes permitting the sale of Tatts’ popular draw games (including Tattslotto, Powerball and Oz Lotto), along with its suite of Instant Scratch-Its, through its dedicated network of small businesses and via its innovative digital channels.
The new licence commences on 1 July 2018 and will continue in force until 30 June 2028.
Commenting on the licence win, Tatts’ CEO and Managing Director Robbie Cooke said: “I am delighted with this important licence win and the opportunity to continue operating Victoria’s public lotteries”.
“Our partnership with the State, which has continued since 1954, provided more than $4 billion in lotteries taxes over the past 10 years to the State of Victoria. These monies have been instrumental in funding much social infrastructure in the State including schools, hospitals and roads.
“We truly appreciate the Government’s trust and the support of our iconic world class lotteries business in awarding us this licence, and look forward to contributing strongly to the Victorian community over the next 10 years.”
